Sunnyside Up was built in 1910 and used as a butchers shop with the building behind used as the slaughter house for many years. It changed hands in the 1950's when Pat Morgan took it over to sell his surfboards making his famous surfboards from the building out the back. Inside the cottage is one of the original Pat Morgans surfboards and a "surfboard wax" sign that was found in the roof of Sunnyside Up during renovations. We also have a photo of the old butchers shop inside to get some idea of the old charm of Sunnyside Up.
The cottage has a modern open plan living design providing ample space for the family to gather. With bedrooms on the ground floor and on the mezzanine level. The current owners have the charm of the 1910's abode whilst bringing it also into the 21st Century. Enjoy living in one of the oldest buildings in Torquay.
