Known for a kitten's paw print embedded into a brick near the front door, the result of a kitten stepping onto the clay brick prior to it drying all those years ago! The 2 bedroom home has been extended at some point, with the addition including a spacious modern kitchen (complete with a split system aircon), bathroom and a small laundry. There are now two seperate lounge rooms, one was likely the location of the home's original kitchen. High timber ceilings can be found in the original four rooms, the bedrooms and lounge rooms, which are a modern pine reproduction of the classic jarrah weatherboard design often used in the 1800's to early 1900's. Original jarrah floors can be found in the front lounge room and two bedrooms, while both the lounge rooms have fire places - one including a slow combustion wood heater.

Built in 1860, there aren't too many homes older than this in the WA! Some of the other character features include a very high pitched roof, a front verandah and Flemish Bond brickwork across the front of the home with the rest being English Bond, both brick patterns synonymous with the 1800's.
