Last Listing description (August 2010)

It's old but it's new again!
4 Apartments now for sale: 2 bedroom from $595,000 and three 3 bedroom apartments from $895,000. Inspect this weekend.
A great opportunity is presented , to buy a new apartment in Square One a brand new development in Money St, Northbridge. Square One is a mixed use apartment complex that has set a new benchmark in inner city apartment living. Not because it is the most ostentatious or expensive development - it's not - but because it aims to be the most sustainable. It's sustainability credentials are impressive, and it has just won the Master Builders Award 2010 for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability.

The developers, have taken a heritage-listed building - the 1928 Mackays Aerated Waters Factory - and converted it into 35 apartments, an office and a cafe. Apart from the social significance of preserving Perth's light industrial heritage, it also saves energy and greenhouse emissions by reusing significant elements of an existing building.
Square One's rainwater harvesting facilities will save an estimated 500,000 litres of water a year which will be used in toilets, washing machines and on gardens. The complex has a solar-heated, gas-booted hot water system that is individually metered to each unit. Compared to a standard electric storage system found in most apartments, it will be about 80 per cent cheaper and the whole complex will save the equivalent of 146 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. Power for common facilities such as lifts, outdoor lighting and car park ventilation will come from a 9.75kW photovoltaic (solar) system.
The project's location is also highly sustainable. Money St is lined with established London Plan trees, and is at the quiet end of Northbridge. There is a CAT bus stop at the end of the street, or you could take a 15-minute stroll to St Georges Tce. Northbridge's many restaurants are a short stroll away as is a new Cole's supermarket.
Four apartments now for sale - a ground floor - 2 bedroom apartment @ $595,000 plus three 3 bedroom split level apartments from $895,000. Some of the apartments have leases in place - please ask for details.
We have apartment 33 open for inspection on:
Saturday 1-2pm and Sunday 3.30pm - 4.30pm
