An extremely picturesque block: incorporating grapevines, rustic shearing shed, mature trees, winter creek, elevated granite outcrop, and parkland cleared areas.The small vineyard was planted in 1990 on rich clay/loam soils and provided high-quality grapes for Lauren Brook Winery from 1993 to 2003 when the winery ceased production. It was initially planted to Chardonnay but then grafted over to Shiraz. The vineyard has not been pruned or picked since 2003 and is merely maintained by hedging. To return it to a productive vineyard would require major renovation and pruning.The old jarrah and galvanised-iron shearing shed has a rainwater tank. The shed is used for alpaca shearing, and storing wood, nets, fleece, and other materials.
