Inside there are angled ceilings. Floor boards throughout. There is timber lined v-jay paneling on some walls & some ceilings. Looks great painted white.
On the bottom floor from the double front doors you?ll find a big loungeroom. It?s got a really good feel. This house has good vibes. You?ll walk through a doorway into the kitchen area, where there is another smaller lounge area & a banquette dining table which I?m more than happy to leave in the home. It was specifically made for this area & it?s beautiful.
Also on the ground floor there is the laundry and access to the carport.
Then you head up 7 stairs you?ll find a bedroom to the left, main bathroom, which I?ve had renovated & to the right the main bedroom with an ensuite. Now the master suite is the only room in the house I haven?t touched up! Crazy I know. I guess I?ve spent so long making sure the rest of the house & the kids rooms are comfy I?ve just not worried about me. So that room & ensuite definitely needs love. Make it your own. There is a sliding door in the master bedroom that leads to what could be your own private parents area. I always envisioned a deck, maybe a spa. A fenced off area to keep the kids out. ??
Then you?ll go up another 6 stairs & you?ll find 2 more bedrooms. One has a really cool hiding spot. Or excellent extra storage. You?ll see, it?s pretty cool.
There is a huge split system on the top level which you can feel on the ground floor, but also another air con in the main living area.
Ducted heating works a treat.
You can get out of your car & not get wet! Straight in through the back door.
Out the back door into the carport you?ll find awesome under house storage. I can stand up under there! It has lights & electricity.
There is also a separate garden shed.
Out the front of the house you?ll find a fully fenced yard. Up a few big stone steps you?ll come to an entertaining area with a gazebo. Pretty nice view from there.
There is a great grass area where numerous games of finska, cricket & football have been played.
Also excellent for just chilling in the hammock under the ornamental pear trees.
I have loved my time here. Honestly this place just feels good.
In my opinion it would be a perfect home for someone good on the tools as it does need a little love, or an investor as a potential Air BnB. It?s less than a kilometre from the YG racecourse & YG market to the right. And 1 kilometre to the local supermarket & pub to the left. Awesome position. Also 1.7kms from the local primary school if you have small people.
Yarra Glen is a fantastic place to raise your family, can?t speak highly enough about it. We love it so much we are even staying local ourselves.
