Age and health issues are forcing the sale of our home. This townhouse is one of three units. Unit 1 at the front of the block is the original 1930's house. Behind this, our Unit 3 is one of a pair built in 2017. It faces a common area accessed by the driveway next to the front house. This arrangement is very secure, we look out for each other.
We have a good sized single garage (remote controlled door) with laundry off the side. The home can be accessed by the study (no need to get wet). On this level, the north facing kitchen/family room has access to the rear deck, all overlooking the generous sized block of land. This is rare for this type of residence in this area. Upstairs has two bedrooms and a bathroom. We have double glazing, ducted gas heating which includes refrigerated cooling. All this plus solar boosted water heating keep power bills low.
It is a short walk to Union Road with its restaurants and shops (including Coles), and just about all services, including a railway station. The level crossing is being removed. This is causing some disruption in the area at the moment. When this work is completed and the planned landscaping is done, this area will look great again.
Our street is a bit quirky. We have some of the most friendly neighbours you could imagine. There is a real community feel about it. We are not moving far.
