The State Government has introduced new legislation (due to come in by 1st May 2017) to stop underquoting and we reckon it's a good thing. Village Real Estate has decided to introduce the new reforms straight away... and in fact, we are going over and above the requirements of the new laws.
So... this means every home marketed for sale or auction by Village Real Estate:
_will display a statement of information including:
_details of the comparable sales used in determining the quote range
_the median suburb sale price
_the quote range, which will be a single figure or a range of no more than 10% BUT where the comparable sales are for example $600,000, $619,000 and $628,500, our quote range will be $600,000 to $628,500 (far less than the 10% range required by law)
_terms such as 'plus' or 'offers over' will no longer be used
