Last Listing description (August 2016)

Brand new (2014) 6.5 star energy rated, townhouse is available for annual lease from Saturday 10th of September 2016. We are looking for long term, good quality tenants. $390 p/week, $1,699 p/month.
Short stroll to the best Preston has to offer: Preston Market, Dexter restaurant/bar, Stray neighbour restaurant/bar, Preston Truck Stop, Woolies, Preston Village and more.
We are only interested in renting to the right people. This is a much loved home and this will only work if all concerned are happy and of a like mind. We have priced the house at a reasonable rate to ensure we get the right people. The house will be leased directly between the owner and tenant, no real estate agent.

The house is compact and would best suit a couple or single. We are a couple with a 2 year old and we love it, but it s not large enough for a family. No smokers or pets.
OUR HOME
The house is compact but well laid out - it has an open planned living area, 1 bedroom and 1 study/bedroom. As the house is 6.5 star energy rated, the house is naturally warm on cool days and cool on the hot days, there is a split system heater/air conditioner.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, BIR and split system. The study/bedroom is used as a play area for our baby. The open plan living room opens onto the deck. Kitchen has a new stainless dishwasher, and comes with a large new 400Lt fridge. Simple We have a little back courtyard and a car space next to the house.
Our home is full of natural light and easy to live in with all the mod cons and if you're tallish you get a view of the city in the distance. Our townhouse is one of three on the block and is at the rear of the block, accessed along a side path. The position is quiet and tucked away from the street which is perfect for us. Our home is tidy and clean, the prospective leasee would need to be of the same mind.
There is a 2.9Kw solar system which last year reduced our power bill by about $800, or about $65 per month. This is a considerable saving for the prospective leasee.
THE LOCATION
Our home is in the best spot in Preston! Within 9 minutes walk of the wonderful Preston Market and 8 mins from a large Woolworths. More importantly we are 9 mins walk from the main Preston village with more restaurants, cafes, shops -newsagent, chemist, post office, banks, etc - than i could mention. The market, train station and village are all in the same area. The massive Northland Shopping Centre is 4 mins drive away with Cinemas, and every other shop you can think of.
For going out the three best things in Preston just happen to be at each end of Wilcox St. Dexter is the best place for a bite and beer, Stray Neighbour is the best bar in town, and lastly, the Preston Truck Park is full of food trucks from Wednesday to Sunday. All these places are a few minutes walk from home.
Preston station is 9 mins walk, the 86 tram stops at the end of our street (next to a 7/11 which comes in handy for late night biscuit runs), and buses run along High street. The Mercy hospital, Olivia Newton John hospital, and Austin hospital are all 10 mins drive away. LaTrobe University is about 15 minutes drive.
We think it s the best spot in Melbourne!
Open day for inspection of house 10am 6th of August 2016.
