The Marlo Hideaway is a picturesque property almost an acre in size and located only a short stroll from where the mighty Snowy River meets the ocean. Here you can discover the best of East Gippsland, from the Snowy River estuary with its pristine beaches, rocky cliffs, and scenic walking trails to the excellent fishing spots and uncrowded surf beaches.

The main residence is located on the upper level of the two-storey building near the main entrance. Access is via stairs from the ground level. The residence comprises a huge open plan living and dining area, well-appointed kitchen and a large master bedroom with ensuite. There is excellent natural light, views over farmland to the north and private balconies both front and rear. Solar panels on the north facing roof assist with keeping electricity costs down. Ceiling fans, a slow combustion wood heater and a split system reverse cycle air conditioner help maintain a comfortable temperature all year round.

Two fully self-contained studio apartments, formally bedrooms in the main residence, are located either side of the lower level. Each can be accessed from either an internal door or externally. Each has its own bathroom, kitchenette, microwave, refrigerator and queen size bed. Whilst these are currently used for guests, they could also be re-purposed as additional two bedrooms for the main residence.

Alongside the main residence there are four fully self-contained units, each with their own bathroom and bunk room. Each unit can sleep up to four. Each is accessed from an external door on a long common veranda. Each has its own kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, bunks, queen size bed and split system reverse cycle air conditioning. Each room enjoys plenty of natural light and has views across farmland to the north. An Outdoor Kitchen/BBQ area and undercover alfresco area are conveniently located across the driveway, perfect for outdoor entertaining.

There is a Tiny Home to the western side of the property. The Tiny Home sits atop a Victorian registered tri axle trailer making it fully transportable. It is approximately 8 metres long and x 2.4 metres wide. The tiny home sleeps two in a queen-sized bed down one end (complete with TV and ceiling fan), a living area to the centre and a kitchen and compact bathroom at the other end. A split system, reverse cycle air conditioner helps keep the temperature comfortable all year round.

Access to the property is from an excellent bitumen road and there is good access for vehicles towing trailers or boats and ample off-street parking. There is a double lock up garage with storage near the main residence, with concrete floor and power connected. An inground pool is a haven during the warmer months. Located alongside the pool is a large workshop with roller door and a carport. The Little Crooked House sits opposite and has been designed in Ettamogah Pub style. This is great novelty for the kids to play inside whilst the big kids to enjoy a drink on the veranda!

Marlo has a Hotel, General Store, Caf and a Primary School. Orbost is the nearest major town where there are two supermarkets, medical services, a hospital, P-12 College and a variety of specialty stores and services. The nearest major rural centre is Bairnsdale, around an hour twenty minutes' drive. Bairnsdale has most conveniences including all the major supermarkets, Bunnings, Dan Murphys, Harvey Norman, a variety of public and private schools and a range of industrial and farming supply stores and services.
