Unique and tranquil. All the wonders that semi-rural living offers just minutes from central Bendigo.
I love our home. Falling asleep with a view of the stars, listening to the rain fall on the roof, being roused in the morn by sugar gliders returning to their nests. Peering from the second story window at the creek and the rural countryside which surrounds us, in the morn the house is toasty warm from the Coonara. Laying in the willow shade on the dam jetty watching the kids swim or fish. Listening to the birds and cicadas. The peacefulness. The absence of city bustle but close enough to have pizza delivered. How the kids cross the road and they are trail riding in the bush. How nobody can build across the road from us. Looking out over the creek at the grapevines. How in 23 years we've had to do very little maintenance. How our house is very different to most suburban dwellings. Drinking rain water from our 21 thousand gallon water tanks. So many things to love about our place.
