The farm a mixture of hill country and river flat is used for grazing and vegetable growing. Flaggy creek flows through the property, which also has a water home for Cattle to drink from.
Seedlings for the rest of the farm have been propagated in the light loam near the house. In the warmth of the summer watermelons, cantaloupe and fresh herbs have been grown.
The working windmill is occasionally used to pump water to the house from river, however most water is supplied by a communal water system. The pipeline for main water is supplied by a communal water system. The pipeline for main water supply for Bairnsdale runs through the property with several tapping points available.
Near the windmill the Mitchell River, in summer has a natural stone based crossing and swimming hole to cool off in.
Two large sheds, one enclosed stand between the house and the cattle yards. Mail is delivered to a roadside mailbox near the Bus stop.
