History
Built by Cecil Pybus Cooke of Lake Condah Station in memory of his wife Arabella. Cecil was drawn to Port Phillip by Major Sir Thomas Mitchell's account of Australia Felix and arrived at Hobart Town in April 1839. In May he married Arbella Winter and they moved to Portland where Cooke took up the run on the Smoky River (Crawford River).
St Philips consists of a foyer and auditorium with timber floor and high ceiling. It is surrounded by an established open garden.
