DOWNSTAIRS: Double bedroom, walk through wardrobe area, laundry, bathroom and second balcony. Double futon bed in bedroom. Clean linen and towellings.Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas cooker, oven, microwave oven, fridge, toaster, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils. Stylish lounge with sofa, coffee table, DVD player and TV; perfectly complemented by original art and the unbelievable view out the window. Free WiFi internet. Inverter heater/air conditioner upstairs. Wall-mounted Nobo heater downstairs (it rarely gets hot downstairs, so air conditioning is not an issue). Separate laundry room with washing machine, drier , clotheshorse and large washbasin. Modern shower, basin and toilet (with excellent water pressure). Upstairs balcony has table and 4 chairs plus a coal BBQ. Downstairs balcony has double person hammock and camping chair. Recently renovated (opened December 2011) Victoria Park is directly across the street; and boasts free public access to a large footie (Australia Rules Football) oval, public BBQ sites, and gardens. From your doorstep there are trails to walk along the Yarra River and Merri Creek; and the famous Collingwood Children's Farm is a short meander down river. Victoria Park Train Station is an easy walk away; and major bus routes run along Johnston Street (5 min walk) and Punt Road (10 min walk). Victoria Park Station is just four stops from Jolimont Train Station, where you can hop off to visit the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground), Melbourne Park (the annual site of the Australian Tennis Open), and other major sporting venues. And the next stop after Jolimont is Flinders Street Station, Melbourne's major train station. An off street parking space is included (handy if you are renting a car). The area is safe and tranquil, and you're sure to see dogs being walked and kids playing in Victoria Park during your stay. The area includes numerous pubs (some famous), restaurants, art galleries, an IGA supermarket and a dry cleaner. Smoking is only allowed on the balconies. The entire apartment is available and includes full separate laundry and 1 off street parking spot. I live in Melbourne and am available for assistance/queries on my mobile, but I leave my guests uninterrupted so that they can enjoy their holiday/trip as they wish, and they can treat my apartment like their home away from home. The apartment is a short walk from train station and bus stops. Please note that the bed is a double futon bed. I think it's very comfortable, but it's not to everyone's taste. It is not a futon couch, but an actual futon bed. The entire apartment is available and includes full separate laundry and 1 off street parking spot.
