There is a current proposal in place for a water storage system in excess of 340 mgl to be built at low cost - this water would allow 100+ Ha's to be irrigated by pivot irrigator. This water storage system will go a long way to drought proofing Wingaroo.
The property is currently capable of carrying 2,500 crossbred ewes with the ability to increase this markedly with the installation of the irrigation scheme. The water resource will also allow crops to be grown with certainty by the owner or attract contract croppers.
