Bluestone Vineyard is beautifully positioned for passing traffic heading to the Pipers River region. It's located only 25 minutes drive from Launceston and 10km to the nearest vineyard. The varieties grown include; Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling.
The area planted in vines consists of 2 hectares (5 acres approx.) however, there is considerably more cleared ground suitable for expanding the vineyard if that is the plan for a new Owner.
A large irrigation dam was built to provide water during the growing season. Water is pumped from this supply to a smaller holding dam which supports a dripper irrigation system. Although Pipers River does not flow through the property, private access can be gained over an adjoining Crown Reserve for recreational purposes only.
Bluestone Vineyard is currently a standalone boutique project which could provide a launching pad into a larger grape growing enterprise. Scenic, elevated sites could be utilised for a new residence (STCA) or cellar door with exposure to the busy wine route and the North East region of Tasmania.
