''Kinlet'' circa 1837
HISTORY
Named Kinlet after an English thoroughbred colt. The grounds are reminiscent of an English parkland estate.

The land was purchased in 1837 by Dr Edmund Wilmore, from Mr Charles Arthur (Plymouth, England) who was given the original grant in 1827.
A generous double storey Georgian style stable block was commissioned in circa 1840. It has served many uses over time including stables and Italian prisoner of war lodgings. It's present day use is as a shearing shed.
The house is a fully renovated Georgian style homestead surrounded by formal gardens. One hundred and seventy year old trees include English oaks (30), English elms (14), Napolean pears (8), and hawthorn hedgerows covering over 6 kilometres, all in healthy condition.
Kinlet is one of the first properties established in the area when the early settlers were keen to fashion their surroundings to reflect the mother country. Nearby, prominent properties include Woolmers, Brickendon, Wickford, Spring Banks, Hythe, Parkmount, Richmond Park and Longford Hall.
Features of the brick stables include a notched timber post and beam system, which supports the upper floor. This building once hosted bushrangers Martin Cash and Daniel Priestly and later, Italian prisoners of war following WWII.
HOMESTEAD
The homestead was extensively renovated in 2008. Internally, improvements include a kitchen on the northern side, a family room, formal dining room, formal gentleman's room, study, a bathroom, laundry and a guest room all on the lower level. The second storey consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, library and a lounge room.
FARM
The farm comprises 104.5 hectares of class 3 loamy soils in good condition and very typical of this tightly held and popular farming district. The property enjoys the benefit of a 65ML water licence with the Cressy/Longford Irrigation Scheme running through the property. The farm is divided into 15 paddocks and fields of various sizes ideal for a cropping or livestock operation. A complete paddock history is available dating back to 1994. Good stockyards and facilities compliment the acreage and a good farm cottage provides accommodation suitable to rent or for farm employees.
