Just off the back of the house, a small outbuilding has been lined and insulated to make a very cosy sleep out. Alongside this is a garden shed which still has the Copper , complete with brick surround and flu, that would have been the original laundry. Tucked into the gardens is another timber building, with power connected, that has been set up as an artist studio.
A few years ago, an old timber building was saved from neglect and relocated to this property. It now sits in the side paddock on foundations of local stone with a reconstructed fireplace and has two large rooms and a mezzanine level. It currently houses curios found on site and the local area but would convert to another studio or accommodation.
The final building is a massive timber barn / garage (also with power connected) that once housed a large bus and has a workshop area as well as space for storing timbers. Sandstone paths surround the house and link the different garden areas.
This property sits within the village which is very proud of its history and boast one of the oldest Golf Courses in Australia, the Nant Whiskey Distillery, a Primary School, General Store, caf and restaurant. It is close to the famous Trout fishing waters of the Clyde River and the Highland Lakes while Hobart is approx. one hours drive with major centres even closer.
