Romancing The Stone - Live The Country Dream!
Rowandew' is a Georgian delight constructed circa 1840 of sandstone construction from blocks that once belonged to another house that was built further up the hill in 1820 and later burnt down. Accommodation comprises of 3-4 bedrooms, separate lounge, separate dining/computer room, a spacious and modern kitchen, separate bathroom with a laundry and side exit door at the other end. The floor plan is typical of its era with a flexible layout of 4 rooms downstairs and two dormer rooms upstairs and has later weatherboard additions to the main house, which now house the kitchen, bathroom and laundry.

Bagdad is a small rural community 37 kilometres (23mi) north of Hobart, on the Midland Highway, in the south-east of Tasmania, Australia. At the 2001 census, the town had a population of 677. In the days of the horse and buggy, it was an important rest area and horse-changing place for those continuing their journey up Constitution Hill. It is now an area of orchards and small mixed farms and a commuter settlement.
The town was named by the explorer Hugh Germain, a private and well-educated member of the Royal Marines, who is said to have carried two books in his saddlebags while traveling, the Bible and the Arabian Nights, and he was renowned for naming places from these books.
A railway line connected the town with Hobart from 1891 until 1947.
