Dragon Rising is a noteworthy property set toward the southern end of Adventure Bay and the site on which a sawmill operated from the 1800's up until its closure in about 1965. The current owners took this property and have made it a remarkable retreat. The land has been lovingly reclaimed and planted and is a registered Land for Wildlife property. As owner builders they first built the cottage in around 1999, from recycled timbers, adding quaint artisan stained glass windows and hand crafted features. The main house is powered by solar and wood fire, the hot water cylinder that runs off the wood stove is large and extremely efficient, and there is a back up to mains power if required.. Downstairs remains a work in progress, where the new owner can develop the home further. In place are Double glazed windows , a third toilet, cladding , foundations for further development, and is currently used as an all weather storage space.
