On the west coast of Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Venus Bay is approximately a seven hour drive from Adelaide. It is 220 kilometres northwest of Port Lincoln and about the same distance south-east of Ceduna. It is a quiet fishing and holiday village situated close to beautiful beaches and spectacular coastline. The bay is safe for swimming and boating and generally fishing (from either a boat or the jetty) is good all year round.
The Venus Bay Licensed General Store is a long-standing successful business located in the centre of beautiful, peaceful Venus Bay. The Store caters for everyone's needs and is currently trading seven days a week. Exceptionally well stocked: includes the sale of groceries, meat, local prawns, bread, fruit and vegetables; gifts; take-away food ranging from fish & chips to a variety of hamburgers, baguettes and bruschettas; Espresso coffee, milkshakes, icecreams, Licensed Cafe', fishing tackle, fuel; LPG gas bottles and refills. While the bottle shop is not large, it has a good range of wines that we have personally selected. There is also a good selection of beers and spirits.
The licensed alfresco dining area has excellent views of the bay and jetty. The Cafe' is essentially a day time Cafe' however does open some evenings for special events.

The business also manages 6 holiday rentals, plus the owned 2 Storey 2 bedroom Chalet located next to the Store. The vacant block next door also included has plenty of potential to expand or erect some Units with fantastic views of the below bay and jetty.
Although helpful to have some food preparation knowledge, no experience is needed. Training will be provided if required. A Liquor License Badge will be required. Exceptionally busy between December and May, however, since covid has seen an increased visitation to Venus Bay with many return visitors. Sale includes much of the existing plant and equipment, except what belongs to the current Lessee. 41 Matson Terrace which includes the Shop and Chalet could be sold together, excluding 43 Matson Terrace block for $550,000.
