Clezy Barn Circa 1860
Clezy Barn is a local heritage listed building originally built by John Clezy a well-known local wheat producer. For many years the lower floor would serve as a wool shed for two generations of the Clezy family before the property was sold to the Daniel Brothers in 1930, who were both long-standing blacksmiths and highly successful clover harvesting contractors.
John Clezy played a pivotal role in the wheat industry and through his contacts in Scotland was able to bring across samples of grain that had originally come from Italy which would set up much of the wheat industry we have come to know today .
