Only a hop, skip and jump from Jacka Brothers Brewery and the main street of Melrose sits the former Uniting Church and Sunday School building. These buildings are a blank canvas and firmly entrenched in the history of Melrose. The Church building itself dates back to the late 1800's (not long after Melrose was settled) making it over 100 years old with the Sunday School being a more recent addition in the mid 1960's.
The large corner block that is home to the Church is just over 1000 square meters in size giving the prospective purchaser plenty of room to move. The Church itself offers a small lobby, large chapel area, original stained-glass windows and wooden floorboards, for the comfort of the parishioners there are ceiling fans and wall mounted bar heaters in the main chapel. To the rear of the building is a vestry with a pressed tin ceiling and a small kitchen located on the southern side. There is a toilet located outside the church alongside a small rainwater tank however there is no bathroom.
In addition to the Church on the corner allotment is a second building that housed the Sunday School, this building was also previously used by the community as a kindergarten. The Sunday School building has a verandah that runs full length on the Western side of the building, a small kitchenette in the Southern end leading into the rest of the building which is a single open plan room.
