St Joseph's Catholic Church Kalangadoo
TDC Livestock and Property, in conjunction with PPHS, are proud to present a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a significant piece of history "St Joseph's Kalangadoo Catholic Church".
Situated right in the heart of Kalangadoo, the rich history dates back to 1904, after a generous and heartfelt community effort saw the foundation stone for the church laid. The church was officially opened on 22 January 1905, with a large crowd attending the dedication ceremony. Over the years, the building has served as a community cornerstone, hosting masses, sacraments, weddings, funerals, and many other celebrations. In the mid-nineties, the church interior was renovated, with fresh paint and new carpets installed. The centenary of the church was celebrated in 2005, and the final Mass was held on 18 August 2024, marking the end of an era for the beloved landmark.
Built from solid Mount Gambier stone the main room of the church offers 81m2 of space with elevated altar to the Southern end, with adjoining entrance foyer. The architectural beauty is presented through the breathtaking cathedral pitched timber ceilings, stained glass feature windows and arched double doors, and for convenience there is an adjoining toilet accessed from outside.
Situated on a spacious block of land spanning 3,851m2, over two titles (1,925m2 each) this offering presents significant subdivision or renovation potential (STCA).
