Last Listing description (February 2025)

Hoyleton is a quaint former railway town in SA's lovely mid north region. The town was previously known as Hoyle's Plains, and it was the original terminus of the Port Wakefield railway line. This was constructed in 1869 as a horse-drawn tramway to assist farmers on the newly settled Hoyles Plains to get their grain to the port.

Although there's a lot less activity now in Hoyleton, there's still an active little community.

The opportunity now presents itself to purchase a manageable parcel of land (approx 4046 sqm), which contains three titles.

There's a beautiful deconsecrated Church (in it's past life it welcomed a methodist congregation). The nave of the church was built in the 1870's, the addition in the more austere 1954 (the current owner is a stonemason).

Distance is just 20 mins from ever popular Clare Valley destinations such as Watervale, Mintaro and Auburn, and just under 90 minutes will see you in Adelaide.

If a bit of solitude with the country vibe is what you're craving, this unique offering might just scratch that itch.
