RESIDENCE: The historic return verandah homestead, which has been renovated inside, offers 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, lounge, dining room, and kitchen. The main entrance leads down a long corridor, with a high ceiling and polished timber floor, with the lounge on the left and 3 bedrooms either side. The lounge has an open fireplace with timber cupboards either side. The dining room has a combustion heater set in the original open fireplace. The dark polished flagstone floor provides a nice earthy feel and a beautiful contrast to the white walls. The kitchen has timber overhead and underbench cupboards, an electric cooktop and oven. Next to the kitchen is the bathroom, complete with bath, shower and toilet. The verandah, with timber floor and the original balustrade, provides ample seating space to relax after a hard day s work and take in the beauty of the land around. Underneath the verandah is a small cellar providing several storage options for either own produce from the land or wines from the region. The historic stone dwelling on the western side of the homestead, built ca 1865, could be used as a studio, children s play room or simply for storage. The original Scott s fireplace in the stone dwelling could easily be converted into a pizza oven. The ruins of the old bakehouse and condiment store on the eastern side of the homestead offer themselves to be rebuilt for their original use or simply as a store room.
