UniCentral is located in Sippy Downs - named the "Knowledge Hub" of the Sunshine Coast. Amenities include supermarkets, fast food outlets, medical centres, pharmacy, hairdressing and a tavern. The many picturesque lakes can be enjoyed from various waterfront parks and picnic areas and can be accessed by numerous walk and bike paths. Running tracks and outdoor circuit training facilities exist for the fitness conscious. It's a safe neighbourhood for peaceful walks, or to exercise in the parks in the nearby area.

A Central Bus station located at the University of the Sunshine Coast will take you to the Sunshine Coast's amazing surf beaches - Mooloolaba beach and Alexandra Headlands are a 15 minute drive away. Located a 15 minute drive from UniCentral, Sunshine Plaza is home to numerous department stores, shops, cafes, restaurants and a cinema. Ocean Street Maroochydore is a hotspot for great food and local live music.
