16c/5 Bayview St, Runaway Bay is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Unit with 1 parking spaces and was built in 1991. The property has a land size of 946m2 and floor size of 169m2. While the property is not currently for sale or for rent, it was last sold in October 2024.
I might be a bit biased because I used to live here at 5 Bayview Street. I however was on a lower level, the views were great but not as good as they are on the 16th floor.
This property is a resort style set up, however it is not for holiday makers, it a prestigious hi rise for permanent residents only.
Lets start at the entrance to the building.
As you open the door you have a marbled floor reception/foyer area. There are lovely onsite manager there as well, who accept parcels and sort mail for the residents. On the lower floor there is a games room complete with pool table, table tennis, darts board and a library of books to exchange between owners, or read and put back.
The next floor up is a events room that is available to hire out separately with its own commercial kitchen. On the same level is a full gym, indoor HEATED pool, spa and plunge pool. And what set up would be complete without a sauna it has that as well, separate male and female ones.
From there you can go outside as well, and just before you get to the private wharf, you have another pool but this time of course its outside.
With so much going on I forgot to mention the full size tennis court as well.
Back to that marbled entry area, you then have a secure lift to your own floor the 16th floor.
As you enter the double doors you are met with a MASSIVE living area and kitchen. There is not just the loungeroom, there is also a family room joined in the middle by the large kitchen and dining room. ALL of these rooms are facing the full size windows adjoining the wrap around balcony with the amazing views from the mountains all the way around to South Stradbroke Island.
Just as everything else is oversized, so are the bedrooms, bathroom and Ensuite. You have 3 toilets in total, a large laundry, WIR and of course ceiling fans and air-conditioning throughout.
You are so close to everything and I mean close. Outside the front gates as you cross the road is Cavs Steakhouse and caf's. There's the boatramp, parks, even a butcher.
To locals that area, that starts from 5 Bayview Street, and ends up at Charis Seafood, is called the 'Golden Mile' It's full of people just causally strolling along the Broadwater, but in a peacefulness you just do not get that close to the water in other areas of the Gold Coast.
