As we follow the long private driveway from the road, it is like entering the Botanic Gardens with Jacarandas, Bougainvilleas, Avocados and a myriad of shrubs shading the front of the property, all quiet except for the gentle sounds of the birdlife.

A covered porch protects the front door, sheltering any visitors from inclement weather, and security spotlights allow the whole area to be illuminated.

Entering the home, the first thing we notice is the classical terracotta tiling that covers most of the public areas, setting the feeling of quality that pervades the whole house. This quality is reflected in the sheer size of all the rooms, and the feeling of solid build that is so rare in today's homes. The whole property has been designed and built for entertaining, both for raising a family, entertaining friends and colleagues and even hosting charitable events.

At the front of the house, facing this very private and shaded garden are the Master bedroom, well away from the rest of the accommodation wing, and the large rumpus room.

The master bedroom suite (as with all the bedrooms) is carpeted to create a cosy atmosphere. The suite is air conditioned and has a fan for additional comfort during those hot summer nights. There is a walk in wardrobe and a comprehensive ensuite complete with a glass screened shower. A brick feature wall adds an air of sophistication to the room.

Across the hall is the massive 6m x 6m rumpus room, again looking out onto the front gardens, but with access also to the undercover pool entertainment area. Again this area is cooled with a fan and air conditioner.

A little further down the tiled corridor, we come to the enormous formal lounge and dining room featuring a beautiful cathedral ceiling.

The formal area is serviced by a massive open plan kitchen and meals area. The kitchen boasts a Miele dishwasher, a Bosch ceramic cooktop and Westinghouse oven for meal preparation, stone benchtops and masses of cupboard space. There is an exquisite island bench with an extraordinary extractor set into the ceiling, complete with light, to ensure odourless cooking.

Across from the meals area is a large bar / entertainment room, which also has sliding door access to the undercover pool area.

We then enter the accommodation wing, with three additional very large bedrooms, making four altogether, all fully carpeted with fans. Two of the bedrooms have walk in wardrobes, almost unheard of in modern houses, and the third with a triple built in wardrobe.

The bathroom suite is also unusual with a bathroom, complete with bath and a glass screened shower, a separate toilet and a separate vanity all offering real convenience.

The accommodation wing is completed by a large laundry with external access to the rear garden.

The back garden is a thing of beauty and reflects well on the care paid by the owners. Manicured lawns stretch way back and established trees and shrubs sit in well maintained garden beds. The grassed area is so large that the owners have erected marquees to entertain charity functions in the past. A garden shed sits well back to store those essential implements securely.

To the side of the house is the fully fenced pool entertainment area. A free form salt water pool is protected from the house with a glass fence. Next to the pool is an undercover, tiled, gazebo, ideal for those cooling drinks between dips.

All around the pool and gazebo are shrubs and rockeries, giving the whole area an attractive natural feel.

On the other side of the glass fence is a gigantic undercover entertainment area, some 8m x 6m and fully tiled. The area has clear polycarbonate roofing panel to allow the sun through in winter, but has blinds that can be pulled down to give shade in the summer.

The house has a full vacuumaid system, solar hot water system and already has the NBN installed. To help service the gardens there are three water tanks, 2 x 2,000l and one 1,000l
This property is a just a few minutes drive from the fantastic shopping at Springwood and the M1, with access to the CBD, the airport and the Gold Coast, even Ipswich is directly accessible by freeway....
