Pumps on Wilkie Creek
The water harvesting pumps (related to the above licences) currently installed on the Wilkie Creek are:
- 24/30 two stage Batescrew vertical oil lube axial flow pump, equipped with a Caterpillar 3196E, 500 hp diesel motor. This pump is capable of delivering around 2,000L/sec.
- 20 inch mixed-flow pump, equipped with a Caterpillar D336, 350 hp diesel motor. This pump delivers900l/s.
Water Storages - both water storages are currently full
Dam No. 1 (estimated 1,150 megalitre tank near the creek).
Overland flow works acknowledgements 188211, 188214 and
Work reference Nos: 21751 (dam), 21752 (sump), 21761 (sump), 21763 (drain) and pumps 21753 (500mm outlet), 21754 (450mm outlet), 21762 (350mm outlet) are associated with this dam.
Water from the two creek pumps (ref. 51894R and 51895R) fill Dam No 1, in conjunction with overland flow water which is captured from the Daandine-Nandi road via the drain along
the property's south-east boundary.
Associated with this dam is a sump with a capacity estimated at around 100 megalitres. From this dam, water can be distributed over all of the irrigation fields, and can also be transferred to Dam No 2. This storage is able to be filled in 4.5 days when pumping at full capacity.
The outlet pump of Dam No 1 is a 16HBC30 mixed flow pump equipped with a JD 6068T 170hp diesel motor. This pump is capable of delivering approximately 600L/sec and is used for both water harvesting and irrigation.
Dam No. 2 (estimated 850 megalitre tank near the Northern boundary)
Work reference Nos: 21756 (dam), 21757 (pump), 21760 (drain) and
pumps 21758 (1,000mm outlet), 21759 (500mm outlet) are associated with this dam.
This dam is filled with water harvested from Wilkie Creek in conjunction with overland flow water which is captured from the Daandine-Nandi road via the drain along the property's North-east boundary.
Associated with this tank is a sump with a capacity estimated at 50 megalitres. From this tank, water could be distributed over all of the irrigation fields if required, and can also be transferred to Dam No 1.
Dam No 2 Pumps:
- 26 HBC40 mixed flow pump, equipped with a Volvo TD121GP 300hp diesel motor. This pump is capable of delivering around 1,800L/sec water.
- 400hw/10 mixed flow pump equipped with a JD 6068T 170hp diesel motor. This pump is capable of delivering around 600L/sec water, and is used for both water harvesting and irrigation.
All pump engines are equipped with Murphy safety systems.
The comfortable five bedroom home consists of an open kitchen/dining and lounge area opening to a large dining room, a rumpus/pool room, bathroom and separate toilet, a laundry (with shower enclosure), with an extra toilet in the concreted carport. The corrugated iron sheds situated near the house are extensive and house the majority of the property's machinery.
The rain water tanks attached to the shed infrastructure have a capacity of over 200,000 litres.
Electricity and floodlighting are connected to all shed areas.
