Originally a World War II military building, re-erected in its current site in 1947, the building was subsequently put to good use as a church hall and Sunday School. Old photographs show residents of this era enjoying a church fete at this community hub. It is delightful to think of the pleasant social gatherings that would have taken place between the walls of this historic building.
The huge four metre wide covered side deck is, of course, a new and very welcome addition to this house designed for relaxed living. It is reached by two sets of attractive French doors which pour natural light into the living areas and, when open, extend the house out onto the verandah with views of the very pleasant garden. A variety of native plants and trees attract colourful birds and butterflies and fruit trees provide a welcome crop of home-grown goodness. The kids will, of course, enjoy the open lawn to run and play on, much like the young Sunday School pupils who enjoyed this building in a previous era.
