The site is an undeveloped coastal headland situated at the northern end of Palm Cove, enjoying an elevated position with spectacular views out to the Coral Sea and south. It sits to the east of the Hotel Grand Chancellor and Golf Course and Ocean's Edge residential development. The land is currently vacant, and is partially vegetated with several eucalyptus species. It has a watercourse system draining seaward which forms into a charming shallow creek close to the main entrance on Williams Esplanade.
