Have you ever dreamed of living in a small, family oriented rural community?
We're seeking a community minded family or group to live in 'The Farmhouse' in our small intentional community at Natural Bridge in the Numinbah Valley. $440 per week, includes reasonable gas and electricity usage.

It's a peaceful rural location 30 minutes from Nerang and 30 from Murwillumbah, with 360 degree valley views. The property is 50 acres with 2 other dwellings, a big creek flat with permanent waterhole, dams, and food forests, chickens, greenhouse and gardens, mostly located near the farmhouse.
The Farmhouse has four bedrooms (master with ensuite, two double, one small), plus one spare room / extra bed / play room / office etc. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and mirror built in robes. There's a trampoline and a beautiful handbuilt natural playground.
The open plan kitchen, dining and living areas are shared with a vegetarian couple with a two year old boy, who live in the extension. They are staying until May, when the 2 room extension will also become available to rent. Rent on the whole house and extension is $650. We also sometimes host farm volunteers, who stay in a mining style donga at the other end of the farmhouse. The volunteer situation (numbers and accommodation options) can be negotiated with the right applicants, as we understand it will be your home predominantly.
The other residents on the property are two couples, with six children between them (ages 1-10). The three older children are here part time. In the longer term we hope to set up a homeschooling group or micro school, though we are not quite ready to do that yet. We also plan to build a community centre in the middle of the 3 houses.
We'd love to find a compatible family or group to rent this space, which has been the heart of the community. If you are peaceful, cheerful, flexible, and interested in community living and living on the land, we would love to hear from you!
Short or long term rental is negotiable. If longer is desired, the initial term will be 6 months. The house is currently furnished, but can be rented unfurnished if desired. Available from January 29. We prefer no dogs or smokers, but get in touch and talk it through with us.
