(Please see our television quality video and 3D tour to get a sense of what living in this house is really like)

Have you always wanted to own a property where your friends ask you "can we have our wedding in your backyard?". If you've got a big family, horses, a fleet of classic cars or you just want space and privacy, you'll love this home.

Let's start with the huge block. We've got a full 2.13 hectares which is equivalent to 5.2 acres or 21300 m2! It's so rare to have a block this size less than 10 minutes from the grocery store. Because of the size of the block, you can have multiple horses or even store your large earth-moving equipment here. There is a properly built bitchumen road from the front of the block, down to the shed out the back so large trucks won't ever get bogged in the wet season. Of course, you'll want to keep this beautiful yard green and there is an excellent bore with large water tanks and irrigation systems installed to make sure it looks as good as you see it today year-round.

Let's talk about the house they certainly don't build them like this anymore. In fact, I don't think they ever really built them like this. It is simply enormous and although it was built back in the 1980s, it was such an innovative build at the time that it will suit many modern buyers. We will have to take it in storys but to give you a general overview, it is a four bedroom, legal-height house with a huge office that also includes three bathrooms and two large living areas.

Downstairs you will find a light-filled living room with beautiful windows looking out across the front acreage. The kids can enjoy that one as the gaming room/ media room is large enough for a twelve-seater sofa or to house the pool table. There is a grand front entrance room on this level which leads to the large kitchen. Quick breakfasts are simple here with the three-seat breakfast bar.

If you love to entertain, you'll love that the kitchen looks out upon the largest patio we've found this year. It is fully tiled and features LED lights, modern fans and amazing views of the rear-acres and sunset. Our owner's eight-seat dining table is completely dwarfed here. There is an awesome view of the pool, so you can keep an eye on the kids while sipping wine in the evening.

Back to the bottom floor you'll love the formal dining room for those few times a year you actually get the family to sit down at the table. There is also an incredible office on the bottom floor which is ideal for those who have a flexible working arrangement and can work from home. It features heaps of storage and desks for you and a couple of team members. Rounding out the ground floor is a full bathroom adjacent to the large laundry. This is ideally positioned so you can have guests hop right in the shower after swimming in the pool.

Just like everything else about this property, the children's bedrooms are large. You will find three on the northern side of the house and they feature air-conditioning, brand new carpets and two of them have built-in wardrobes. The master bedroom suite has new carpet, a new split system air-conditioner and one of the largest walk-in robes we've ever seen. Of course there is an ensuite to the master and the children have their own large bathroom with both a tub and a shower.

Aahhh the part you have been waiting for, the shed. It is simply enormous at approximately 19 metres long x 12.5 metres deep. This shed is so big, that there is a second shed inside the shed which is perfect for storing all of your camping gear. This could be the office of a business as it features its own outlet. There is a mezzanine floor on top of the large room inside the shed which is perfect for storing everything! Christmas decorations. Your Grandmother's dresser that you just can't throw out but is ugly Anything that you want out of the way but you can't get rid of but probably not your kids. There are huge sliding doors to this massive space and you can probably fit a full motorhome inside.

If you've read this far wow. There is alot to talk about here. I didn't mention the pool yet. It's big enough for the Townsville Cowboys to do their water aerobics in or to host a party with 40 people. I had to swim it 4 times for the video and I nearly died. It's bloody huge. When entertaining by the pool you will enjoy the shade of the large pergola.

Rounding out this incredible slice of North Queensland paradise is a 13.2kw solar panel system on the roof that is less than one year old. This will help keep those forever increasing energy bills low.

11 Connemara Course is located in Kelso Country. This is a rural area in the suburbs of Townsville, just 35 minutes from the CBD. About 5 minutes down the road is a brand new Woolworths and also other essentials like KFC, McDonalds and a Newsagency. There is a boat ramp to the Upper Ross River just down the road which is a great place to launch for water-skiing. Townsville's largest employers, James Cook University, Townsville Hospital and Lavarack Barracks are a 15-20 minute drive away via the Ring Road.

Be quick! Properties this big rarely come to market this close to town. If you love the video, you will certainly love this home in-person. Inspect today so you don't miss out.
