Clear instructions to sell at Auction
Position, Position, Position often quoted as the three points that astute buyers will not buy without, and 17 Gordon Terrace ticks all the boxes. Consider this: The home sits on an elevated 574m2 block with an ideal northerly aspect and views to the ranges, perfect for catching the early morning sun and afternoon cooling breezes. Tucked away in a quiet pocket, yet less than 400m to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, and just 120m to bus stop and 900m to Indooroopilly Railway Station all this convenience plus a two-street frontage (to both Gordon Terrace and Thorpe Street).
This architect designed home has stood the test of time well, and is in very good condition building and pest inspections just completed uncovered no serious issues. Upon entry, the sense of space and light is pleasantly all-pervading, courtesy of the vaulted ceilings, high windows and open plan layout. A combustion heater sits in the corner, perfect to warm the whole room in winter. It really has a holiday home ambience about it.

Upstairs bedrooms have those vaulted ceilings and lots of windows to take advantage of the high position and mountain views. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs with a large spa-bath, and both have a lovely beachy feel.
Custom-built stainless benchtops and splashbacks, with a double-sided bench for quick snacks while seated makes the kitchen no-nonsense and highly functional, and the gas cooktop is what most foodies prefer. There s all the bench and cupboard space you ll ever need. Nearby is a clever closeable study nook to hide away your computer and paperwork.
Paved courtyards at north and south ends of the home give you your choice of outside living options. The courtyard out back closest to the kitchen is covered, and overlooks the in-ground pool and established gardens. And with 574m2 of land area and a big back yard to play with, there s room to renovate or extend, subject to Council approvals as always.
The current owner has opted for a sea-change and is purchasing a property at the Gold Coast.

LEGACY WAY TUNNEL EASES LOCAL TRAFFIC
To the west lies Brisbane s $1.5 billion infrastructure upgrade, the Legacy Way Tunnel on the Western Freeway. At 4.6km long and opened about two years ago, it diverts through traffic coming in from the west of Brisbane, connecting to the existing Inner City Bypass. This has meant a very noticeable easing of local traffic levels especially in Taringa and Indooroopilly, freeing up traffic congestion in local arterials such as Moggill Road and lesser notorious rat run streets.
