LEGACY WAY TUNNEL EASES LOCAL INDOOROOPILLY TRAFFIC
To the west lies Brisbane s $1.5 billion infrastructure upgrade, the Legacy Way Tunnel on the Western Freeway. 4.6km long and recently opened, it diverts through traffic coming in from the west of Brisbane, connecting to the existing Inner City Bypass. The freeway is now a joy to travel on given the reduced peak-hour freeway congestion.
This has meant a very noticeable easing of traffic levels especially in Indooroopilly and Taringa, freeing up local arterials such as Moggill Road.
