Etheridge Shire is a growing shire with limited holiday rentals (1 house) & property rentals for the rising workers coming into the shire. We have had multiple people wanting to rent our house but we would prefer to sell.
Forsayth has a police station, hospital clinic, school across the road, caravan park & the hub of the town The Pub. The pub is our post office, general store & local meet up place. We have the Savannahlander train that comes out once a week from Cairns in tourist season.
Forsayth is known for its gold detecting (my partner has found & sold $7000 worth of gold) & has the best agates in the world. Forsayth now has a HUGE Dam (Charleston Dam) & our water restrictions are finally gone. So if you love fishing & water sports this could be the place for you, it's nothing to knock off work then head down for a quick fishing afternoon or kayak in the dam.
Trades are in high demand out here, my partner is a builder & we are constantly turning down work or clients are asking to be put on a waiting list. Now we are leaving the council may need you to be their preferred tradie.

Forsayth has been a safe & wonderful place to raise our 3 children but they will be starting high school & we don't want to send them to boarding school. The bush life experience has brought the best out of our kids & experiences they would have never had in the city. This is a regretful sale as we love it here & hope a new family could make this place home.
