Fishing off beach (I have caught Black Bream; Silver and Sooty Grunter, trevally, whiting, catfish, flathead, mangrove jack, threadfin salmon and barramundi off beach or in Mick Creek). Prawns are plentiful off beach when running. Blue swimmer and mud crabs off beach and nearby mangroves are big and plentiful.
Mostly a very quiet, friendly community with several traditional and historical owners in residence and people with holiday houses staying occasionally. Plentiful birdlife, occasional crocodiles have been sighted
