Whether you are returning from a Cape York wilderness camping trip, a prospecting run through an old gold field, a fishing and diving trip to the reef or a day's crabbing up the river - you couldn't come home to better than this. High on Grassy Hill in Cooktown with 180 degree views from the Endeavour River to the Coral Sea, this architect designed' builder's own home has everything the weary adventurer could ever want.
The climate demands a lifestyle that is spent outside sitting around a barbecue and entertaining with friends. At 14 Webber Esplanade, you will be astounded at what levels of entertaining there are for everyone. Cool breezes with picturesque ocean outlooks which create a very special tropical retreat for those lazy afternoons by the amazing Pool.

Upstairs, simple luxury living above the tree tops. A mixture of colours textures and materials to please the most discerning eye. The master bedroom has a gorgeous ensuite and walk in robe, study, kitchen, lounge and dining.
Come and enjoy a real lifestyle home where great living is expected everyday.

* Master with designer walk in robe and ensuite
* Enormous living areas with spectacular views
* Fully self contained lower level with kitchenette
* Large kitchen with breakfast bar upstairs.
* Fully ducted air conditioning throughout
* Phenomenal Entertaining - oversized outdoor area
* Concrete inground horizon pool
* Established gardens
* Two car lock up garage
* 1801m2 secluded allotment
* And on top of all this views, views, veiws
Designed to incorporate the surrounding rainforest, the house features large indoor planted areas and expansive bifold doorways opening to wide, cantilevered verandahs.
Wide cantilevered verandahs and roof allow a panorama clear of any columns or posts with the upstairs verandah being at treetop level - truely a birdwatchers paradise. Of course there is nothing to stop you being a sea gazer either with constant action provided by the pelagics, turtles, dolphins, occasional dugong
and very occasional saltwater lizzard just below the front verandah.
With stunning views from the master bedroom over the canopy, across the mouth of the Endeavour to Mount Saunders and Cape Bedford on the prehistoric north shore, it is often difficult to get out of bed too early in the morning. Quite often during the wet season the vista is a violent electrical storm across the bay which is equally as enthralling.
The home is constructed with concrete floors (ground level and upper level), solid masonry walls (rendered) and steel roof. Floors are finished in either local forest redwood timbers or specifically imported Indian slate. Forest redwood ceilings feature in the upstairs loungeroom and verandah areas.
Both kitchens have granite bench tops and glass splashbacks and both bathrooms have granite vanity tops.
The wet edge concrete pool is surrounded by a deck of forest redwood timber and features waterfall and spa with shade provided by two sixteen square metre umbrellas (as well as the surrounding native trees)
Cooktown is one of Australia's most historic towns - being home to Captain Cook and the crew of the Endeavour for six weeks in 1770 and staging point for one of the country's biggest and wildest gold rushes to the Palmer River in the 1870s. Today we boast a population of around 2,000 (including surrounding communities) with all necessary mod cons - three hotels, golf course, bowls club, RSL, modern hospital,
doctor's surgery, several restaurants and cafes. We do NOT have regulated parking, traffic lights or parking inspectors. It is an easy 330 kilometre run to Cairns on
a modern fully sealed highway (although we do get cut off from time to time for a few days during the wet) or you can take either of the two daily return flights which is a very scenic 40 minute trip .To the north we have as much adventure on our doorstep as anyone could wish for - the Cape York wilderness starts here !
To the east twenty minutes in a tinny and you are on some of the most pristine Great Barrier Reef there is - you will always catch fish and you will always
be able to have an an unforgettable dive - whenever you want ! The beautiful Cherry Tree and Finch Bay swimming beaches are within a five minute drive or
half hour hike
