Last Listing description (December 2025)

To the future owners of our slice of paradise at 10 Glider Court, Bonogin, * PRESENT ALL OFFERS *

Leisa and I both have hectic roles in our day to day working lives. The ability to come home to our slice of paradise helps the mind and body relax in preparation for a new day. Being able to sit on the veranda and watch the wildlife whilst listening to the many and various birds we get here is so relaxing. There is also a wonderful, heated spa under the house to sit and relax with a beverage if desired.

All this tranquillity only 15 minutes down a country road from the heart of Mudgeeraba, Robina Town Centre and a couple more minutes to Stocklands in Burleigh! Varsity and Robina train stations are also within 15 minutes.

We are centrally located in the hinterland where most places along the Gold Coast and Tweed are easily accessed within 30-35 minutes. We always said, if we grew tired of the drive it was time to move, we still haven't, and the drive has always formed a part of the transition from the rat race to the peaceful surrounds.

The air-conditioned house is wonderful and open bringing the outside in. Being able to retire to the large open rooms inside the house, should the weather turn unfriendly is something that always had added to the experience. Our spacious veranda has hosted many a Christmas family lunch and provided a relaxing place to spend with friends. In winter, the fireplace has been relaxing and provides an amazing amount of heat for the entire house. The air-conditioned single bedroom fully self-contained unit downstairs has been so handy when visitors come or when family has needed a lifeline to stay for a while. It provides guests their own space whilst being close by. It's also been something we had in reserve if an additional income stream was needed.

The area we created at the back of the house has been fantastic for our dogs to roam throughout the day. The swing set addition made it a great area for the grandkids to play with us having complete confidence they are safe, but with us close by for those possible scrapes and bruises. This has under ground drainage to ensure there are no water run off issues for the house.

We indulged in buying a caravan a few years ago so build a large 10x4m carport which keeps it safe and sound. The roof height is more than ample for a motorhome or truck to be stored if caravaning or boating aren't your thing.

The property has a large 9x12m air-conditioned shed with a 4.5x5.5m lean to on the side. The previous owners had a home based mechanical workshop when we originally purchased the house but we changed into an area to spend time enjoying our hobbies with friends. There is a small kitchenette, making the catering a breeze too.
As the house runs on tank water (33000 ltrs on the house and 27000 ltrs on the shed, that can be used to pump up to the house) and a bio-system, we decided to install 2 solar / battery systems, one for each electrical phase of the house (16.4kw battery on the house phase and 13.5kw on the shed).

In the recent large storm of Christmas 2023, and more recently Cyclone Alfred, we had the peace of mind that our main systems were covered with battery backup so didn't lose lights, fridges and other essential electrical based necessities. The other major benefit of the solar, is that we personally have had no power bill to pay for the past 18 months. The account still has a small credit balance today.

Over the past 3 years, we have done some major renovations with the view of staying long term. The merbau on the veranda has all been replaced, along with some of the framework. We removed a sliding door and window to install a massive 4.6m stacking sliding door to bring the outside in.

The ensuite has been completely gutted and renovated in a luxurious floor to ceiling tile, frameless shower screen and modern vanity. The laundry and toilet have been renovated with the additional tiles purchased to complete the main bathroom area.

Earlier this year we also replaced the entire Colourbond roof and guttering; this was more for peace of mind. The 300 (approx.) lineal meters of driveways have been concreted apart from a small area that has never been an issue through wet times. All works work completed by contract builders and the relevant building permits have been in place.
Over the 11 years we have been here we have thoroughly loved our piece of paradise! It's time for us to move on to the next chapter in our lives moving closer to our daughters and grandkids. We know we leave the house in a great condition, and a new owner can confidently move in with no concerns.

Yours faithfully,
Mark & Leisa
