Inside, the house is cool and light with a major emphasis on the cathedral ceilings and tall glass windows. Built with louvered walls to promote cooling breezes it's ventilated by convection design principles and constructed so the walls and openings are sheltered from the sun in the dry and the rain in the wet - making it the perfect topical retreat.
The home has three bedrooms and a large study with could easily be used as a fourth bedroom. All of the bedrooms have louvers and doors connecting to the outside. There are two bathrooms and an additional room which could be utilized as a walk in robe or a second study. The ground floors consist of clay tiles with polished hardwood on the split levels. There are four separate decks leading off the dining, lounge, main bedroom and west wing each sheltered from the elements. Outdoors there's an in ground pool off the main deck and large areas of garden and lawn on the block. There is a large garden shed and undercover parking for two cars and room for a boat and trailer.
There is potential here to continue the theme of tropical design principles by adding extensions or similar capital improvements.
