The size and location of the property, including its connection to significant areas of vegetation to the West and East, earmark it as a significant strategic property to increase landscape connectivity between the Nightcap and Mackellar Ranges. It is located in a high priority wildlife corridor.

Over the years the current owner has worked tirelessly to improve the the environmental value of the property with removal of weeds over 3ha and regenerating the natural forest. His commitment to works on this property has sparked interest from surrounding neighbours who have also committed to environmental restoration projects extending the environmental connectivity in the Rose Rd area.
