Last Listing description (December 2021)

The Berkeley is a highly desirable development with a limited turnover. For example, between 2017 to 2020 an average of four apartments traded each year from a total of 127 equating to 3.15%.

My experience of previous sales in The Berkeley have uncovered a pattern of previous residents wanting to return, whether they have previously owned or rented in the building. They just love the ambiance and are attracted by a genuine sense of community. The building has solid internal walls giving good sound insulation, plus it is a well-managed building not to mention excellent proximity to the city.

This north west floor plan is one of the largest and rarely comes to market; over the past decade according to the Land Registry there has been just two transactions back in 2012 and 2016 with no sign of marketing which suggests internal transfers.

This apartment is situated on the desirable north west corner with only one adjoining unit and being closest to Darling Harbour.
This floor plan offers a generous 115 square metre floor plan. The apartment comprises living room with a bright northerly aspect. The kitchen has been modernised with Miele appliance and comes with an abundance of bench space and storage. There is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, second bedroom, family bathroom and separate laundry. The bathrooms have undergone some modernisation with new vanity units and WC's.

Furthermore, there is one secure parking space and the building is served by an on-site Building Manager.

One major advantage which residents of The Berkeley love is convenience. Located on the corner of Market Street and Clarence Street just moments away from the Queen Victoria Building. According to Google Maps it is just 130 metres to QVB, 400 metres to Town Hall Station and 290 metres to Westfield Central Plaza and 750 metres to Wynyard.

The Berkeley is a well-maintained development in the heart of the city which has recently undergone refurbishment of the common parts on each floor.

It offers a great lifestyle which is on the doorstep of everything that a world class city like Sydney has to offer which includes fine dining, arts, cultural and world class shopping, transport links are ubiquitous especially with the latest addition of the Sydney Light Rail.

I would highly recommend an early inspection to avoid disappointment.
