Located at the foot of Mt Bajimba on favoured blue granite country, this secluded partly cleared block ticks all the boxes for a bush getaway with heaps of wildlife, enough open space to run some animals, 3 dams, and only 35 minutes from Tenterfield or Deepwater. Fencing is sound with some new fencing completed in the past couple of years providing 3 paddocks available for stock, each with a dam. "Bajimba" was historically used to spell bullocks hauling logs from the slopes of Mount Bajimba to a nearby sawmill, and part of the old road is still apparent on the block.
The extensive views over the New England Tableland from the top of this block are magnificent with views also northward to Mt Mackenzie some 45km away, which means there is also good phone signal. The expansive outlook on the western side of the block is complemented by the magical dense gully on the eastern boundary timbered with 30m Brown Gums, carpeted with ferns, and a bubbling stream that falls from Mt Bajimba. This tall timbered gully and associated springs is dedicated as a conservation area to provide undisturbed habitat for wildlife, and lock up some carbon.
In the centre of the block is a large level building pad looking over two of the dams, with a fully lockable and weather proof 12 x 8m colourbond shed with poly water tank also enclosed within the rabbit proof house yard. A small, netted orchard adjoins the house yard. The shed is currently used as a weekender with a small kitchen set up, cupboards and a pot belly stove.
