276 Mckechnie Rd, Ruby Creek is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom House with 4 parking spaces. While the property is not currently for sale or for rent, it was last sold in July 2025. There are other 3 bedroom House sold in Ruby Creek in the last 12 months.
Nestle at the end of a fully tarred road and only 12 minutes to town, you'll find an Oak lined driveway leading up to the internal fence line. There is more than enough space for additional dwellings and cement foundation stumps have already been laid in preparation for that fabulous art studio or that Airbnb cottage you've been dreaming of.
We have not had any livestock on the property but, friends in the road have horses, cows, and very cute goats. Our neighbors are eclectic and range from young families to retirees. There is a yearly Christmas get together and lots more activities planned for the future. It's been a lovely place to live, and we've made some close friends. Sharing and bartering for fruit and veggies has already been established in the road and there are endless possibilities for more.

Animals and Wildlife
There is a chook house and run waiting for an upgrade. We have 3 resident Guineafowl that are great for keeping friendly snakes at bay. We have always tried to maintain a balance between the wildlife that inhabits this land and our own animals. We have peacocks that grace the property with their magnificent displays and silly behavior. They free range through the day and roost high in the eucalypts at night. An understanding and love for these birds would be a plus.
We have a gorgeous 41/2yr old pedigree Maremma that has guarded the property and kept us safe. This has been very heartbreaking as we cannot take him with us. We are looking to find him the perfect home but perhaps, you may need the Direwolf to stay on. We would be happy to talk about that once you have met.
There are also the usual Roos, one big bastard we call Bruce, tends to flex his muscles and lay about a lot. The odd echidna, possums, frill necks, turtles, lots of frogs, dragonflies, butterflies and many different bees. A resident cormorant called Collin and, an array of egrets and herons that pop in to annoy him. Add in magpies, wedgetail eagles, cockatoos, parrots, Fairywrens, finches and kookaburras.
A beautiful spring filled dam. Glimpses of quartz crystals that catch the light of the afternoon sun, watching our free loafing Wagtail dance and play across the water catching the last insects of the day. In the evening the stars will take your breath away, insects and frogs sing loudly, as the night magic unfolds. There is a large assortment of native and medicinal trees planted throughout the property. A row of She-oaks that sing to you and often bring black cockatoos. Many a story could be written under the trees, or the next painting created with all this inspiration around you.
Is this the new beginning you've been waiting for?
