Kids, this one's for you. It's a massive house on a nice, wide street with lots of trees, really neat gardens at the front and back and lawns that aren't so big that dad's mowing all weekend (just enough to keep him from getting bored and bugging you).

Imagine how great it would be to be able to keep a close eye on mum while you're outside playing and she's in the kitchen cooking dinner! You can, because the living room opens right up at the back and you can see her from the whole yard, whatever she's doing. The laundry has heaps of cupboards, so you know she'll keep everyone's stuff tidy, and a separate door so she doesn't have to walk through the whole house with wet feet and blame you for it. She's going to cook the BEST food because the kitchen has the gas appliances she always says she 'needs', and a dishwasher (phew!), and it has a really long granite bench, the kind she's been telling dad she wants, and a massive pantry for you to stare into for ages.

And upstairs there's even a living area for you and your brothers and sisters and all your friends, so you can play your Xbox while dad watches the news, and you can even see the water from the balcony up there.

Sometimes it can be hard to get dad's attention, especially when you've been talking about kitchen stuff to mum, so make sure you say, "Dad, there's a lock-up garage with internal access and plenty of space for all your tools", and he'll stop what he's doing and listen, because that's "the one thing our next house has to have". He can even work at home sometimes if he wants, because there's a study or home office downstairs.

And you'd better tell them both about these cool things, just so they don't say, "It's not all about you, you know":

- Stylish Jarrah flooring downstairs and quality carpets upstairs
- Ducted air conditioning through the whole house
- Rain water tanks for the gardens
- Security intercom system to keep everyone safe
- Lots of sun and natural light inside
- Heaps of storage under the stairs for all their eskies and 'big stuff'

You'll love playing outside, and you could ask for a dog because it can't get out because there are gates on both sides of the house, and you've got the beach at one end of the street and the primary school at the other, and the supermarket and RSL Club only two blocks away, so your parents can ditch the car and take you everywhere they walk to. Yep, you really can walk to almost everything you need.

So get your check list ready, and tell them this is the place everyone's been looking for you're almost certain to get an ice cream out of it!
