:: Fantastic recreational living!
:: Pristine and inspirational Australian landscape
:: Spectacular views overlooking the Shoalhaven river
This property is183 hectares (452 acres) with a council road to the gate; Corang & Shoalhaven river frontage and is fenced on the other boundaries. The country is steep in places but overall it offers hours and hours of either bush walking or bike riding through native forests with abundant wildlife and of course the swimming.
As you drive through the front gate the first thing you encounter are rows of Pine trees. These surround an open reasonably flat area that has some pasture; two dams; a couple of camp sites and a shipping container for storage. If mains power is required this would be the best site for building. There is also good access from here to the sandy banks of the Corang river.
From this area is a good all weather road that runs right through the middle of the property leading to an approved shed on a concrete slab.
About half way along the road and only a short (15min) walk to the south/west the landscape takes on a completely different nature as there are rocky silica outcrops with the surrounding valley full of native bottlebrush that are both red & yellow. On my visit we had an eagle fly close enough to see him clearly. Although these are not uncommon to the area it certainly was a treat for me.
Back on the road and to the end is the shed. It is approximately 10 x 10 meters including the 3 meter verandah's on 3 sides. It has 2 roller doors, windows and a double glass sliding door on the side plus one 7,500 litre water store tank. Inside is one open space that has been divided with storage cupboards. There is a Norseman wood heater and an LPG container outside connected to a 3 burner cook top.
Practically at the back door are the spectacular views overlooking the Shoalhaven river and only a short walk to the east is the point where the Corang feeds into the Shoalhaven.
This is a fantastic property for those who enjoy the outdoors and are looking for somewhere that is inspirational with spectacular views.
Nowra, Goulburn, Braidwood and Canberra are all within 1 hours drive.
