Situated in the lush Burralong Valley an easy hour drive from the start of the freeway at Wahroonga is this spacious and aesthetically stunning western red cedar home nestling at the end of a rustic country lane.

Improvements on the property include the main house and barn.

The main house comprises a large living room with open fire place with French doors opening to the huge north facing deck. Large dining area flows through to the kitchen and on to a corridor to 2 bedrooms downstairs, the bathroom, separate WC and laundry/utility room. The main bedroom is upstairs with the raked timber ceilings.
Vaulted ceilings, timber-lined walls and floorboards and the external cedar beautifully complement the ambience of the Australian bush and natural setting.

20 metres from the main house is the barn providing both separation and easy connection. In itself the barn is a dwelling comprising a large ground floor room with a kitchen sink and cupboards, bathroom with WC and shower and a large workshop. Upstairs the room is bisected by the staircase. There is a carport attached to the barn and a covered work area at the rear and a pergola and cedar French doors at the entry.

The land comprises 1.83 level and cleared hectares, ideal for horses or other animals. The workshop in the barn was originally a stables. There is a dam which fills after heavy rain but could easily be re-lined to hold water more permanently.

The pristine environment teems with Australian fauna wallaroos, wallabies, wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, koalas and a huge variety of bird life. There are platypuses in Wollombi Brook.

There is an in ground concrete swimming pool (note there is also a communal pool). For firewood there is a large woodshed and separately a good-sized garden shed for tools and equipment.

Additionally there is a share in the Burralong Valley 640 acres with tennis court and communal swimming pool and the dairy shared area. Burralong Valley Pty Ltd is managed by a board whose unpaid members are lot holders - this property comprises one of the lots.

We have used it as a weekender since 2010 and because of its proximity to Sydney virtually every weekend. During the covid lockdowns we moved there full time which was lovely. At the moment our time is roughly 3 nights a week up there.

The accommodation is flexible and would suit any number of configurations as a weekender or permanent home for a family or a tree-changing couple with the barn providing the option of a separate granny flat/teenage or guest accommodation/office/art studio.

This is a stunning property in a beautiful environment far from the madding crowd but so easily accessible.
