Raised from the ashes in 1968, the Gulargambone Hotel is the social hub for a community recognised for its strength. Gulargambone residents are justifiably proud of their efforts to keep their town vibrant and welcoming.

Located 400km northwest of Sydney, in a picturesque part of the central west plains on the banks of the Castlereagh River. A tourist feature of Gulargambone are the painted, corrugated iron Galahs, a nod to the town's name deriving from the Wiradjuri people's word for 'watering place for many birds'.

Gulargambone is also part of the silo art trail with a stunning mural of a kingfisher diving for food.
In April 2018 ten renowned Australian artists visited Gulargambone to create some stunning artworks including murals and 3D interactive artworks.

Its annual Pave the way to Gular Festival draws tourists to view new art installations.


The hotel utilises a single bar with a ground floor coolroom serving public bar, lounge and partially covered beer garden, along with guestrooms and licensees area.

The large block and lawned areas provide plenty of scope to create a welcoming area for tourists to linger.
