Historically, the property has been used for grazing, running a self replacing cow herd annually turning off heavy weaners into local markets. In more recent years 297ha of heavily timbered country has been preserved as a conservation area in agreement with the Biodiversity Conservation Trust adding a source of passive income which is set in perpetuity.
