Doctors Gap is a small rural locality near Little Hartley, west of the Blue Mountains in New South Wales. It is accessed via Doctors Gap Road and is known for its bushland, rural lifestyle and scenic mountain views. The road is also used by the public to access sporting clubs and facilities further along the road.
History:
The area has a long history as a rural settlement. Many of the cottages were originally built in the 1950s to house workers associated with local industries in the district. Over time, the settlement evolved into privately occupied homes, with many owners renovating and improving the existing cottages while maintaining the rural character of the valley.
Unlike a conventional subdivision, the land was not divided into individual Torrens Title lots. Instead, ownership was established through a Tenants in Common (TIC) arrangement.
